VIDEO: What Happens in New York – Opening Scene

What Happens in New York, coming soon!

A couple of weeks ago, I read the opening of What Happens in New York at the final Restless Minds event. I was really nervous as it’s the first time anyone outside of my usual writing circle has heard it. I was super pleased with how it turned out, though!

Unfortunately, I’m going to have to change some of it due to it not fitting the way the character acts later on, but the piece received some really positive feedback so that’s a great start 🙂

Huge thanks to my friend Kristian for reading out the part of Hollie’s horrible boss, due to my lack of being able to do a male voice! He nailed it!

Brace yourself for the bit at the end—it gets quite ranty/sweary. I had great fun projecting all my negative emotions into that bit at the end!

I hope you enjoy it. Let me know what you think!

What Happens in New York – Opening SceneI read the opening of #WhatHappensinNewYork at the final Restless Minds Anthology event last week. Huge thanks to my friend Kristian for his help doing the boss’s voice!

Sorry for the quality, it was recorded on mobile!

Be warned: it’s a bit sweary. #sorrynotsorry
